For more than five decades YMCA Camp Grady Spruce has been known for its use as a camping facility for the YMCA Adventure Guides program and family camp weekend fun. In addition to our professional staff and fine facilities, YMCA Camp Grady Spruce can provide custom camping or conference opportunities for Church Retreats,   Family Campouts , Corporate Retreats, Reunions, Youth Groups and Specialty Groups. 

Camp Grady Spruce Conference, Retreat and  Family Camp  is available year round (except during summer resident camp) is located on the waterfront facing Hell’s Gate, the dramatic cliff formation that is Possum Kingdom Lake’s most famous landmark. Camp Grady Spruce offers a week long family camping experience during the Fourth of July week.  

• RAY BEAN CAMP -- Each of the Ray Bean duplex-style cabins are equipped with central air and heat, and a large bathroom facility with shower.  Each unit has its own electric stove/oven, refrigerator and outside grill for cookouts. There are seven duplex cabins making up 14 units, each sleeping 12 (10 beds and 2 roll-a-ways), with a total camp sleeping capacity of 168 as well as an activity/meeting center.
  

• MAIN CAMP   --  Main Camp features an activity/meeting center and 18 cabins. The cabins sleep 16, total capacity is 288, and each has its own covered porch, , bathroom and shower with hot and cold running water, outdoor grill.

• Retreat Center --  Accommodates 36 (18 beds on each side with separate restroom facilities), has its own full kitchen, separate meeting room with fireplace, a beautiful deck for outdoor meetings and dances,
  and a covered front porch with ceiling fans for fun meal settings. Facility rate includes lodging and traditional activities only.

Camp Activities: 

1. Canoeing, Riflery, Archery, Barge Rides to Devil’s Island, Horseback Trail Rides, Hiking  (not open to public riding) and additional daily activities available.

2. We have an excellent Food Service option that can serve groups of 25 or more.

3. Small amounts of firewood are provided for families and retreat groups.
   

4. YMCA Camp Grady Spruce is a ZERO ALCOHOL tolerance facility.  Please refrain from bringing alcoholic beverages during your camp-out. 

5. For the safety of your pet, we do not allow pets at camp while camping with us.
